3. User Accounts

• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access or use
• Ensuring all information provided is truthful and accurate

4. User Responsibilities

5. Parent & Guardian Responsibilities

Parents and guardians using School Rides for transportation services agree to:

• Verify the credentials and ratings of transport operators
• Maintain open communication with service providers regarding child pickup and dropoff requirements
• Ensure payment obligations are met in accordance with agreed upon terms
• Provide accurate emergency contact information
• Report any safety concerns or incidents immediately to the operator and platform support

6. Operator Responsibilities

Transport operators using School Rides agree to:

• Maintain valid licenses, permits, and insurance as required by law
• Ensure all vehicles are roadworthy and properly maintained
• Comply with all traffic laws and regulations
• Provide reliable, safe, and professional transportation services
• Maintain accurate and honest information on their profiles
• Respond promptly to parent inquiries and concerns

7. Payment Terms

Payments made through School Rides are subject to our payment processing terms:

• Payments are processed securely by third-party payment providers
• All prices are displayed before payment confirmation
• Refunds are subject to individual operator policies and our refund terms
• School Rides charges service fees on transactions as disclosed
• Payment disputes should be reported within 30 days of the transaction

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, School Rides shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, revenue, or profits, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. School Rides acts as a platform connecting users and does not provide transportation services directly. Operators are responsible for the services they provide.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. School Rides disclaims all warranties including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless School Rides and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or costs (including attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your use of the Service, or your violation of any law or the rights of another person.

11. Termination

School Rides may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without notice or liability, for any reason or no reason, including if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.
